Who else is more techno-savvy than today’s college students? So, when Construction Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) needed an electrical team with a demonstrated history in sophisticated technologies, the company called John E. Hall Electrical Contractor, Inc. to assist with the newest privately owned student housing project at Old Dominion University (ODU).

Three hundred and eight (308) units of student housing at ODU are under construction in “The District” as part of Phase I of the area’s revitalization. The project is composed of two buildings, is LEED certified and has Energy Star ratings.

In addition to wiring the individual units for high efficiency lighting and individual HVAC, JHE has installed a structured cable network for the fiber optic, data and voice communications requirements. Specifics of these special systems include security cameras, access control, fire alarm and high-end data communications.
